We are currently taking applicants for the following position :
MECHANICAL INSPECTOR
(Assignment: Kalimantan Selatan)
Conducting Overall Equipment Inspection according to a predetermined
schedule to identify defect / damage to equipment that will be used as
data feeder for Planning team in creating a backlog of repair /
scheduled repair in order to eliminate failures, extend component life,
mitigate consequences, minimize downtimes and optimize all resources.
Helping to improve MTBS by performing a Qualified Inspection and Review
Pareto especially to the repeated downtime to rectify the problem. Able
to determine immediate corrective action in order to avoid damage/
eliminate failures to components, prevent catastrophic failure and
reduce costly downtime before it happens.
Requirements:
1. Education: Min High School or Diploma
2. Demonstrate proactive safety attitude and visible HSE Leadership
3. Possesses qualifications and supporting certificates in field of trade / required duties
4. Has previous experiences in field of work, with a minimum of 6 years in mechanical repairs of heavy equipment
5. Possesses broad knowledge in heavy equipment repairs &
maintenance, including Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Trucks, Support
Equipment, (optional: Cranes, Lifting Equipment)
6. Able to work flexible hours to accommodate job requirements
7. Has basic understanding in English
8. Understands mechanical availability and correct repair & maintenance methods
9. Understands mining requirements and production targets
10. Demonstrates proactive safety attitude

Responsibilities:
1) Follow all safety awareness and compliance in accordance with PTP
company regulations, PTP Golden Rules, safety procedures and
environmental policies.
2) Conducting work instructions in a technically correct and safe
efficient manner, following all safety precautions, SOPs / JHAs and
environmental / contamination control systems, implemented by the
company.
3) Conducting overall equipment Inspection according to a predetermined
schedule to identify defect / damage to equipment that will be used as
data feeder for Planning team in creating a backlog of repair /
scheduled repair in order to eliminate failures, extend component life,
mitigate consequences, minimize downtimes and optimize all resources.
4) Helping to improve MTBS by performing a Qualified Inspection and
Review Pareto especially to the repeated downtime to rectify the
problem.
5) Able to determine immediate corrective action in order to avoid
damage/ eliminate failures to components, prevent catastrophic failure
and reduce costly downtime before it happens.
6) Use the opportunity during machine breakdown/shutdown to have a quick
inspection of the machine for any additional faults/ defects – follow
the same process flow considering the criticality & urgency of the
defect. Preference is to execute the additional jobs in a planned work
environment rather than extending the breakdown hours.
7) Determine the repairs required for the faults/ defects found during
inspection included prepare report base on mechanical Inspection
included recommendation parts list and to estimate the time needed to
complete the repairs.
8) Verify for Machine Health Data such as Top up Oil Report, CTS report,
as visual inspection in order to ensure the actual condition of
machine/component.
9) Attend regular tool box meetings and weekly safety meetings.
